The Palatine String Quartet are an outstanding dynamic group of musicians. Rachel (violin), Susannah (violin), Marsha (viola/violin) and Lizzy May (cello) are all graduates from the UKs most prestigious music colleges having learnt and played with some of the worlds finest musicians including Yehudi Menuhin, Nigel Kennedy and Sir Simon Rattle.
The quartet resonate some seriously sensuous sounds and combined with a look that is modern and vibrant, they appeal to a wider audience through their many varied playing styles from Bollywood to Bach, from The Beatles to Brahms and on rare occasions they might play a Barry White song...if you ask very nicely! The foursome are hugely passionate about what they do and not only do they play and perform to a high standard, but can incorporate vocals, compose and arrange a variety of music for any occasion. Their combined talent and varied performing experience has given them the opportunity and privilege to travel worldwide, touring extensively as individuals within the fields of TV, radio, orchestral and session, performing with the likes of Pavarotti, Leona Lewis, Take That, Il Divo, Andrea Bocelli, Sting, Rod Stewart, Westlife, Massive Attack amongst many others. They have played at many glamorous and prestigious venues such as The Royal Albert Hall, The Queen Elizabeth Hall, Bridgewater Hall, Barbican and even No.10 Downing street.
The Palatine String Quartet can be hired for any occasion grand or intimate playing on classical or electric instruments, and if required they can accommodate more players for a bigger or more unique tailored sound. They can also provide live music for Bar Mitzvahs and Asian weddings, and if desired, the girls can dress in traditional Indian saris for the weddings.
